Description
KrAZ-6446 is a modern Ukrainian truck tractor. The first copies of this car appeared in 1994, and serial production started in the same year and is still going on. The drive was provided by a single 8-cylinder engine JaMZ-238DE2 with a power of 330 hp.
The KrAZ-6446 was developed and is produced at the Ukrainian AvtoKraz plant as a successor to the KrAZ-260V tractor. The basis for the development of this car was the KrAZ-6322 car. The KrAZ-6446 truck tractor can move on any road surface as well as off-road. It has all-wheel drive and – depending on the version – can take up to 40 tons of cargo. For this reason, it is used primarily as a vehicle for transporting tanks and all large-size equipment. The S-300 PMU-1 system is mounted on the chassis of this tractor unit. The Ukrainian army remained the main user of these cars.
