The SCUD-B is a Soviet short-range ground-to-ground missile which can be transported and launched on a four-axle truck (8×8) MAZ-543. The missile gained notoriety particularly because Iraq fired it in large numbers towards Israel and Saudi Arabia during the Gulf War. To date, SCUD-B is the most widely used surface-to-surface ballistic missile in wars and conflicts.
