It was one of 50 in the series 91400-91699 to receive this change. Founded in 1881, the American Refrigerator Transit Company was based in St. Louis, Missouri, and was jointly owned by Missouri Pacific and Wabash. Today, it ’s a subsidiary of Union Pacific.
