Description

Built in the late 1940s, this 40 ’ boxcar was eventually upgraded, its running board removed, and repainted into the GN red scheme. Burlington Northern was formed through the mergers of Great Northern and Northern Pacific in 1970, and then merged with ATSF in 1995 to form BNSF.
