4 British South Africa Company troopers wearing early Pioneer Corp style jackets and carrying rifles.

The Pioneer Column were the first troops sent into Matabeleland by Cecil Rhodes. In 1890 this column passed through Matabeleland without fighting and set up a new colony in Mashonaland on the Matabele border. These figures can be used as Pioneer Corp or can represent a member of the original Corp wearing his jacket during the Matabele War in 1892.
